Rye is surrounded by Romney Marsh and on the marsh there are several beautiful Norman churches. Fairfield is probably the most
beautiful and remote of these as it is a beautiful small church set in an ancient landscape with far reaching views over the marsh and towards Rye.

The programs for the weekend courses are as follows
Saturday
10am -start on location, collecting reference through sketching, painting and photographs
1pm lunch (provided)
1.45pm start work on larger scale paintings in the Art room at Rye Creative Centre
5pm finish
Sunday
10am start in the Art room at Rye Creative Centre
1pm lunch (provided)
4pm finish with tea and discussion
Throughout the weekend the workshop will be backed up with tutorial and technical help from myself illustrated by images of relevant artists
Price for the weekend is £275 which includes all tuition and lunches. Accommodation is available at the Hope and Anchor in Rye. If you wish, you can book the Friday and Saturday nights through us via an option on the booking page.
