Terms and Conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully, as by using this website you indicate that you agree to abide by them.
About Chiswick Art School
The Chiswick Art School website is operated by Chiswick Arts Limited, 6 Peterborough Road, Harrow HA1 2BQ. Chiswick Arts Limited is an agency service for tutors who variously provide arts education and services under the “Chiswick Art School” name.
Any contract formed as a result of any booking or other interaction with Chiswick Art School is between the student and the tutor providing the relevant course, as stated in the details provided at the time of booking.
Fees and refunds
All fees are payable in full upon booking any course or other service. No booking is confirmed until the full fee has been paid. Courses may only be booked as advertised on the information page for each course, e.g. as a full term, four week block, single session, etc. Any variation to this condition must be agreed at the time the booking is made.
Once a booking has been confirmed, in the event that a student is then unable to attend one or more sessions for any reason, the tutor is under no obligation to provide any refund or credit in respect of the session(s) missed.
Where a course or an individual session is not provided for whatever reason then the tutor may at their sole discretion offer the students who have booked to attend that session the choice between: (1) a refund of the fee for that session or course; (2) when available, an alternative session or course at a different time; (3) a credit of the fee for that session or course to set against another course fee.
Behaviour in the classroom
Our classes are open to everyone, and it is important that the classroom environment is safe, welcoming and supportive. When you join a group by booking a place on a course, you also become responsible for playing your part in maintaining this environment. It is therefore a condition of your booking that you behave in a way that is respectful of others and conducive to their ability to work and learn.
For example: you should therefore avoid talking excessively where this is out of character with the group, you should avoid discussing contentious issues that may cause distress or anxiety in your classmates, you should take care not to monopolise the tutor’s attention, and you should take care that you do not attend a class when presenting with the symptoms of an infectious illness, even if you do not think you are currently infectious.
The class tutor has absolute discretion to assess any behaviour that may impact on the group and may at any time ask a student to leave the class. Under such circumstances, the student is in breach of these terms and conditions and no refund is due. It is a condition of your booking that you accept the tutor’s authority in this matter.
