Each week, we will dive into a different drawing element. You will learn to use line, tone, accuracy, measurement, mark-making and compositional concepts to create compelling observational drawings. We'll systematically explore essential techniques, starting simply and progressively building sophistication as we combine approaches and ideas.

We break down the discipline into clear, practical modules, with each lesson focusing on a particular element. And if something really sparks your interest, you can explore it further for as long as you like.
You will draw from studio setups, the environment, provided source material, or your own chosen subjects - always with guidance on materials and approaches.
By the end of each lesson, you will have a deeper understanding of drawing, a growing toolkit of techniques, and a portfolio of ideas and images to fuel your creative projects.
We will also look to famous artists of the past and present to place our work in context before we begin drawing.
Inspired by master artists and established conventions, this course will build your confidence, expand your creative vision, and help you interpret the world around you with precision and imagination.
