“If you have a chance to study with Julia then grab it! Her classes are always informative, inspiring and productive. My painting and drawing skills have improved hugely since I began her classes. She is able to convey ideas and concepts in a way that is accessible to her students. Along with receiving great technical instruction, you will also benefit from Julia’s extensive knowledge of art history, paints, brushes, canvases, exhibitions, galleries etc ... Her talent, expertise and passion for art has inspired me to grow and develop as an artist- not only on canvas but as a person as well.”

“Julia is a fabulous teacher of drawing and painting.

I have only studied with her for one term, however, Julia has been a great inspiration to me as she expresses her commitment to both practices, and to each individual student by sharing her depth of art history knowledge and practices, with clear and detailed attention to each of us with a rigorous approach. Julia also encourages us to bring and develop our personal flare to our mark making. I have learnt a great deal, which has already informed my own work, and I look forward to studying with her next term.”
